  • Just a thought…

  • Pondering…

Came across these words in a book that I have been reading…the words were said by a Buddhist master when asked to explain the deeper meaning of Buddhism! I have been pondering on these words… wondering how and why it makes sense. Still trying to understand. I hope to… at some point.

  • Thanks

A note of thanks to all the great souls who have touched me…my thoughts and my way of thinking and living…there is a long list… Most of all I am glad that I have come across amazing words of wisdom by some prominent thought ‘gurus’. Their teachings are simple yet they leave a lasting impact!…

  • Breathe Easy…

This is all one can do sometime…this is all one should do sometime…infact all the time…breathe easy…let life take care of itself…

  • Happy, sweet, chirpy smiles…

Last night I took out my new empty journal…it had been lying around for a while…well it’s been about 2-3 days so to speak….and I couldn’t think of anything…but smiles…so here it is… Somehow I can’t seem to have enough of these swirls. These are very addictive…must say…

  • Just a feeling?

Well, yes, just a feeling can change everything!

  • Flowers

Don’t know what these are called but I really love these beautiful flowers. Love the color! I have clicked like a zillion pictures of this one but never got down to sketching it ever. So today it was… the day when I finally got down to it. Couldn’t do it standing… so had to pluck…

  • A walk in the park

Went to the nearby park for an evening walk. The weather was amazing and so was the greenery all around! Couldn’t resist sketching this…

  • Bryophyllum

I really find it fascinating and kind of admire this particular creation of nature…the fact that you can multiply it by simply plucking a tiny cluster and planting it in soil anywhere you desire. It is such a ‘grounded’ soul!! There is a distinct softness and beauty in this little plant.

  • Sunflower

    Sunflower

Been thinking of painting this since a few days now…finally got down to it! This lovely yellow beauty is growing in a pot in my garden…I had been eyeing it for long…everyday hoping that I will paint it the day it is the right size…today it completely lured me into sketching it… I am kind…

  • All lit up…

    All lit up…

Got this lovely lamp a while ago but never really got to light a candle in it…y’day while enjoying the super weather I sketched it in my digital art journal…

  • Sitting pretty!

    Sitting pretty!

Found these beauties in my garden y’day… the harsh June sun has swallowed all the flora but these beauties seem to have survived! I had read somewhere that the best place to find god is in the garden!  True indeed!

  • Tender tendrils

    Tender tendrils

Tejjas is very fond of rajma and chawal. No doubt it’s the most favorite dish of everyone around too. Off and on he likes to sow the rajma seeds in anticipation of eating his own home grown beans! I was sitting in the garden enjoying the cool breeze and wondering what to sketch…and here it…

  • Be like the birds…

    Be like the birds…

Be like the birds, the flowers and the trees… look at them they have no worries. Things of the future and the things of the past… the days become weeks and the months don’t last… and nor will the flowers, the birds and the trees…

  • From my garden

    From my garden

Just before the rain drops came falling down, I managed to quickly sketch this beauty! Just went with the flow and the limited palette.

  • My garden

    My garden

While sitting in the garden waiting for Tejjas to come back from his ‘Choi Kwang Do’ class and while struggling to keep the mosquitoes away I managed to do these quick sketches. Enjoyed the process. Since the bamboo app on my Note 2 has a limited palette, it helped to quickly sketch these ‘beauties’.

  • Teddy and the yoga bag…

    Teddy and the yoga bag…

Some quick sketches…love the teddy…since Tejjas refuses to play with it…I can safely call it mine 🙂 enjoyed sketching it…it looks a little sad though…no? And here’s my yoga bag…well before you jump to any conclusion…let me make it clear…even though I keep thinking about excercise in my mind…I rarely put it to practice…I know…
