What if the future of happiness isn’t just a psychological intervention…
…but a design challenge?
I’ve spent the last 27 years as a designer…and only recently realized…I wasn’t just designing experiences. I was living inside one. The design system that my mind was creating for me was based on all the tools that it had installed over the years.
Most of this design runs quietly in the background. Beliefs shape thoughts. Thoughts shape actions. Actions shape experiences. And those experiences loop back to reinforce the original belief.
It’s a beautiful loop… with one critical flaw: It doesn’t auto-update.
This means our experience isn’t random. It’s patterned.

What we think, feel, say, and do is all affected by this loop, and when these do not align, life feels glitchy.
The next time life feels glitchy, remember, it’s not a failure message. It’s just your system asking for an update. Here’s a tiny reminder you can use as wallpaper on your phone. Try the practice. And if you do, share with me.
