Watch this and follow along with me with a pen and paper.
You might notice that your day doesn’t begin heavy.
Sometimes it begins with ease.
Both matter.
Both shape your experience.
Imagine moving through your day carrying an invisible bag…
Inside are your thoughts, expectations, and interpretations.
Some feel light.
Some feel heavy.
Let’s make that visible.
Step 1: Draw your day
Draw a line across your page.
This is your day.
Step 2: Mark your moments
Start anywhere.
You might begin with a moment that felt light…
or one that felt heavy.
Mark what stands out to you.
Step 3: Notice both
Now look for the other.
If you began with light, notice where it felt heavy.
If you began with heavy, notice where it felt light.
Step 4: Pause
Look at your day.
Same life. Different experiences.
When it feels heavy, don’t fix anything.
Just slow your breathing for 3 minutes.
It’s not just what happens…
It’s what we carry forward.
Step 5: Choose one moment
What were you thinking?
Step 6: Reframe
What else might be true?
Step 7: Carry-on
Turn this into your carry-on bag.
Step 8: Design a Happit
I choose to travel light by…
Try it now
Take 5 minutes.
Draw your day.
Notice what you’re carrying.Choose one thing to travel lighter with.
- Notice moments of heaviness and light
- Reflect on your thoughts, feelings, and actions
- Gently shift what you choose to carry forward.
All you need is a blank page, a pen, and a few quiet minutes.
Try the exercise and create your own carry-on.
